Since the 1993 debut "Pablo Honey," alternative rock band Radiohead has proven itself to be an enduring and musically explorative group. Fronted by Thom Yorke, the group has released seven studio albums and is often credited as one of the main influences of emerging recording artists across musical genres.
For 2007's "In Rainbows," the band instituted a pay-what-you-want digital release. Despite critics noting that fans could elect to pay nothing in the experimental payment scheme, the album's later physical CD release still debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The band has a large and dedicated fan base that makes its concert events and tours successful year after year.
Radiohead Going Paperless for UK Tour Dates
Secondary ticket sellers could be facing financial losses as Ticketmaster's paperless tickets are becoming more popular among a number of musicians and sports teams. The tickets, which are non-transferrable, prevent fans and secondary ticketing companies from reselling tickets.
Ticketmaster UK, a Live Nation Entertainment company, has announced that paperless tickets will be used for 80 percent of the seats available for all three of Radiohead's UK tour dates.
Radiohead confirms dates, ticket sales for NYC concerts
It's been nearly two years since U.S. fans of Radiohead had a chance to see the legendary British alt-rock troupe on U.S. soil. But the wait will soon be over.
Earlier today, September 19, Radiohead announced its plans for a pair of performances to take place next week in New York City. The sets are scheduled for September 28 and 29 at the city's historic Roseland Ballroom, and will feature opening performances by Four Tet and Rocketnumbernine.

The band has been on hiatus since 2004, and has not released an album since 2001.
Last chance for Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen tickets
Some of this summer's hottest tours will be drawing to a close throughout the week ending September 1 as compiled by TicketNews. It will be your last chance to buy tickets for headlining acts like Radiohead and Bruce Springsteen as they complete their North American itineraries.
Classic rockers Boston & Styx will perform the last show of their co-headlining tour on Tuesday, August 26. The following day, Steely Dan will give the final performance for the current leg of their 44-date tour of North America. However, if you can't catch them this time around, Steely Dan has a November 22 show in Atlantic City, NJ, that goes on sale August 30.
Ticketmaster scalps Radiohead tickets
For one of the first times since completing its acquisition of TicketsNow, Ticketmaster has begun scalping tickets by directing fans of a sold out show to its TicketsNow auctions. Fans of Radiohead, who were looking for tickets on Ticketmaster, are now being directed to TicketsNow, a move that some ticket brokers feared when the acquisition was approved by the federal government in February.
Radiohead purchased ads in print and on radio to promote the sales of their concert tickets on Ticketmaster, but after those tickets are sold out on Ticketmaster, customers using the Ticketmaster website see the screenshot below. The "Find Tickets" link then directs customers to TicketsNow, which is listed as Ticketmaster's "partner site." However, TicketsNow is a secondary ticket seller owned by Ticketmaster.
