Rod Stewart to play 'The Hits' in Las Vegas residency
Rod Stewart is the latest A-list musical artist to confirm a Las Vegas residency this year. The British singer-songwriter has inked a two-year deal to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
The first 18 dates have been confirmed for "Rod Stewart: The Hits," which will trace the performer's five-decade career. The AEG Live-produced show will run August 24 through September 11 and then return for a late-year stint November 3-20.

Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks tour together for 'Heart & Soul' concert
Rock veterans and industry icons Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks have banded together for a North American tour to begin later in the spring.
The Heart & Soul Tour kicks off March 20 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Over the course of four weeks, the co-headliners will visit more than a dozen U.S. and Canadian cities, ultimately concluding the venture on April 16 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA.

Concert promoters and ticket brokers still think Rod Stewart is sexy.
With CD sales slowing, more artists are looking at touring to generate revenue, and the driving force continues to be more established acts. Five of Pollstar’s top 10 highest-grossing tours so far this year are older acts, such as Stewart, Eric Clapton and the Police. Stewart was followed in the top three by Justin Timberlake and the Police, who are expected to dominate the year-end totals because most of their shows are in stadiums and are scheduled for the second half of the year.
In Stewart’s case, the 62-year-old British superstar is laying claim to the highest grossing U.S. tour at the halfway point by amassing $48.1 million, according to Pollstar. Average ticket prices for his shows was $76.93. . .
Some Rod Stewart Fans Left Out in the Cold in Canada

About 16 fans Tuesday were singing tonight’s the night they thought they would get to see their idol Rod Stewart in concert, but unfortunately the John Labatt Centre had other plans.
The London, Ontario venue cancelled tickets to the show without notifying the ticket holders or OnlineSeats.com, the ticket brokerage that sold them. No reasons were given for why the tickets were voided.
“We’re trying to figure out exactly what happened, because there was no notification,” said David Jacobs, president of OnlineSeats.com. “This is something completely out of our control when a venue simply cancelled tickets without telling anyone . . .”

LOS ANGELES -- On March 20th, eight ticket holders with front row seats were prepping for the Rod Stewart Center at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Luckily, they checked their email before they left.
“I just stumbled across the email,” said ticket purchaser Brad Shy. “They must have backdated it to say it came across the day before. But I would have seen it.”
