Ryan Adams is an alternative country performer, who has released about 10 solo albums since his 2000 debut "Heartbreaker." Beginning in 2005, Adams began performing and recording with backing band The Cardinals, though the group is not consistently billed on the albums on which they perform. With the band, Adams has mainly performed at larger club and theater venues across the U.S., Canada and UK. Early in 2009, Adams announced he was quitting as frontman of The Cardinals after completing the band's tour in March. Since then, Adams has pursued several side-projects, though he has not announced any major releases or touring plans. Adams cited his struggle with hearing loss as a result of an inner ear disorder as part of his decision to take a hiatus.
Ryan Adams & The Cardinals tour outlines U.S. dates for early 2009
Alt-country rocker Ryan Adams and his backing band The Cardinals will hit the road early in 2009 for a solo round of U.S. dates. The trek begins February 20 at Shubert Theater in New Haven, CT, and is currently scheduled to conclude on March 20 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA.
Highlights for the 16-date run include a February 21 stop at the Orpheum Theater in Boston, MA, a March 4 gig at Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX, and a March 16 performance at the Louisville Palace Theatre in Louisville, KY. Tickets are already available for a number of venues on the outing, and the remaining onsales will begin by December 20.

Ryan Adams North American Tour Dates Revealed
American alternative country singer Ryan Adams will be touring North America in support of his latest release, Easy Tiger, this fall.
So far, 27 dates have been announced but only two of these are Canadian. This will not be a solo tour, as Adams is bringing along his band The Cardinals along for the ride.
Ryan Adams to Play Hammerstein Ballroom and Other 07 Tour Dates
Ryan Adams seems to usually play very crowd-friendly venues, so it was definitely a surprise to see that his next NYC show is at the less-popular Hammerstein Ballroom on Halloween. Then again - everyone better dress up, and maybe it'll be a regular old monster mash dance party....
