Saliva formed in Tennessee in September 1996, and released their self-titled album about a year later. They released two more albums after that, the third one having one of their most successful songs “Always” which reached number one on the Modern Rock Chart. They have a total of five albums out, and are currently working on their newest one “Take That Society” to be released in 2010.
Saliva went on tour starting July 17 and has shows on and off through October 23. They will also make appearances at some fairs and festivals throughout the summer and early fall. They had to cancel two weeks of performances for the 2009 SnoCore Tour due to the singer’s emergency surgery, and ended up not doing the tour at all because his recovery took longer than expected.
Saliva tour fills summer with fair and festival appearances
After health problems kept them off the road earlier this year, hard rock group Saliva is hitting the road this summer for about eight solid weeks plus other scattered dates. The band's calendar picks up with a July 17 show at Rock Fest in Cadott, WI, and continues on and off through October 23 at the Pensacola State Fair in Pensacola, FL.
The 34-date itinerary will hit markets from coast to coast across the U.S. Highlights include a July 30 concert at Tempe Marketplace in Tempe, AZ, an August 2 performance at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV, an August 19 gig at The Blue Note in Columbia, MO, and a September 4 set at First Avenue Club in Iowa City, IA.
SnoCore Tour breaks into spring with Static-X, Saliva
Since its founding in 1996, the annual SnoCore Tour has primarily been a winter event, celebrating the lifestyle and culture of seasonal sports such as skiing and snowboarding. However, after taking a break from the circuit last year, the touring festival is breaking new ground with a spring jaunt.
Metal groups Static-X and Saliva will headline the 29-city trek, which launches April 1 at Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque, NM, and concludes May 9 at New Oasis in Reno, NV. Burn Halo and The Flood will also appear as supporting acts on all dates of the tour.
