Sheryl Crow


Sheryl Crow is American rock singer-songwriter who blends elements of country, pop and folk in her music. She rose to popularity with her 1993 debut "Tuesday Night Music Club," which included her highest-ever charting single, "All I Wanna Do." Over the course of her career, she has released six studio albums, all of which peaked well within the Top 10 -- and often within the Top 5 -- of the Billboard 200. In the past few years, Crow has become increasingly active in political and social issues, using her mainstream popularity as a soundboard for current issues. On tour, Crow usually books her shows into arenas, stadiums and large amphitheaters. She also frequently tours with other major arena-filling acts, such as Bon Jovi and John Mellancamp.

Kid Rock will get a little help from a friend on the upcoming leg of his Born Free Tour. Nearly 30 dates have been lined up for summer headline tour with Sheryl Crow on the bill a special guest.

The country-infused rockers will set out together July 2 at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH. Their U.S. itinerary closes two months later with a September 3 event at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, TX.

Sheryl Crow tour charts summer concert dates for '100 Miles'

With a new album on the horizon, singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow is putting the finishing touches on an itinerary that will keep her on the road for most of the summer.

Crow begins her summer with a festival-saturated, 12-date tour leg that kicks off June 11 at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN, and wraps June 26 with a set at the sold-out Crossroads Guitar Festival in Bridgeview, IL. During that two-week period, the singer-songwriter will also appear on June 13 at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL, and June 24 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI.

Beastie Boys, Sheryl Crow to perform at Rock The Vote inaugural gala

The inauguration finally has a rock ball. Rock The Vote presents the "Hey, America Feels Kinda Cool Again" Inaugural Gala on January 19 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, featuring Beastie Boys, Sheryl Crow, Citizen Cope and Justin Jones on the night before President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration.

Tickets for the all-ages show went on sale January 10, and are priced at $75. There is a four ticket per person limit. All tickets will be given out at will call on the night of the show and a valid ID must be presented to claim the tickets. Net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Rock The Vote, which uses music, popular culture and new technologies to engage and incite young people to register and vote in every elections.

Sheryl Crow begins new campaign for Rock the Vote

Socially and politically astute singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow wants people to vote in the upcoming elections. The nine-time Grammy award winner has teamed up with Rock the Vote to get people registered to vote. The "Sheryl Crow Voter Registration Drive" kicked off on August 21.

Current members of the Rock the Vote mailing list will receive access to a free download of her politically-charged song "Gasoline." One can also log on to Rock the Vote: Sheryl Wants You to Vote to access the free download.

Sheryl Crow, John Mellencamp to tour together

For the first time in 15 years, John Mellencamp will tour Australia and New Zealand with special guest Sheryl Crow, who will be returning to Australia for the first time since 1997. The 10-day trek starts on November 15 in Sandalford, AUS and winds down on December 7 in Christchurch, NZ.

Mellencamp has sold nearly 2 million units in Australia over his career; he will perform his hits as well as debuting material from his brand new album "Life, Death, Love & Freedom" to be released on July 12. He will bring with him his touring band; Mike Wancic - his veteran guitarist of 30 years, keyboardist Troye Kinnet, violinist Miriam Sturm, drummer Dane Clark, guitarist Andy York and bassist John Gunnell.

Sheryl Crow cancels St. Louis show

Sheryl Crow, on tour with James Blunt, has canceled her Thursday, May 22, concert at the Fox Theater in St. Louis, MO, "due to unforeseen circumstances relating to conflicting concert production logistics," a post on her website read.

The post stressed that it is the only concert affected and all shows from May 23 in Birmingham onward will be taking place. Full ticket refunds from point of purchase were offered along with a plege to return to St. Louis in the future.
