The Avett Brothers are a folk-rock band consisting of two brothers, Scott & Seth Avett, Bob Crawford and are often joined on tour by cellist Joe Kwon. The Avett Brothers combine country, bluegrass, pop, punk, folk, rock and roll, ragtime and honky tonk creating a unique sound. They have thirteen albums out, their most recent being “I and Love and You” released September 2009. Their first album is a self-titled album released in 2000.
The Avett Brothers are planning their Spring Tour, with a general on-sale starting Thursday, November 12th. The fourth annual Stagecoach Festival booked for April 24th and 25th of 2010 has confirmed The Avett Brothers will be one of their acts.

Major tour announcements have been rolled out recently by a few big name American acts. Ticket sales for R&B singer Beyoncé's North American tour begin this week, with fan club pre-sales opening across the country today, followed by public on-sales on April 25. Meanwhile, punk rock trio Green Day also has summer tour plans for the States, with a 38-city trek in the works for July and August.
The Avett Brothers tour launches dates for 'I and Love and You'
After years flying below the mainstream radar, The Avett Brothers hope to break into the public eye in a big way this year. The acclaimed folk-rock group will launch an extensive national tour to supplement its upcoming major label debut.
The venture kicks off April 16 at The Vogue in Indianapolis, IN, and will hit more than 40 cities through a September 4 appearance at the Strawberry Music Festival in Yosemite, CA. The coast-to-coast run is supplemented by two-night stands on May 15-16 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA; May 22-23 at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR; June 12-13 at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, NY; June 16-17 at Carnegie Library Music Hall in Homestead, PA; and July 24-25 at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
