New music and tour dates from veteran acts Pearl Jam and Living Colour are lined up in the daily tour recap for July 9, as compiled by TicketNews.

Grunge rock icon Pearl Jam will follow the September 20 release of its ninth studio album with a brief batch of U.S. concert dates. The new outing will hit only four cities, though the band's calendar is also filled in with some previously announced performances.

After years flying below the mainstream radar, The Avett Brothers hope to break into the public eye in a big way this year. The acclaimed folk-rock group will launch an extensive national tour to supplement its upcoming major label debut.

The venture kicks off April 16 at The Vogue in Indianapolis, IN, and will hit more than 40 cities through a September 4 appearance at the Strawberry Music Festival in Yosemite, CA. The coast-to-coast run is supplemented by two-night stands on May 15-16 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA; May 22-23 at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR; June 12-13 at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, NY; June 16-17 at Carnegie Library Music Hall in Homestead, PA; and July 24-25 at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
