The Black Crowes tour to follow 'Goodnight' concerts with indefinite hiatus
This year marks the 20th anniversary of "Shake Your Money Maker," the commercial hit and debut effort by The Black Crowes. But the veteran band's celebration of that milestone will be bittersweet.
Co-founded by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, the Crowes plan to begin an indefinite hiatus after releasing a new album this summer and completing a four-month tour. After filling the next few months with scattered festival gigs and one-offs, the Crowes will officially launch their pre-hiatus tour on August 13 at Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI.
The Black Crowes tour to stay 'Stuck Inside Utopia' through late 2009
The Black Crowes have doubled the amount of time they'll spend on the road later this year with the announcement of a 29-date extension for the upcoming Stuck Inside Utopia Tour.
The second tour leg picks up October 4 at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC, and closes with an October 22 performance at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, AZ. The third leg begins November 5 at Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, MI, and ends with five shows on December 1-2 and 4-6 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA.
The Black Crowes tour gets 'Stuck Inside Utopia' in 2009
Hard rock veterans The Black Crowes have announced the first leg of dates for their Stuck Inside Utopia Tour. The first block of the band's jaunt will focus on East Coast markets, and includes nearly 30 dates in both the U.S. and Canada.
The trek kicks off August 25 at the Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA, and is currently booked through October 3 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA. The Crowes will also touch down for gigs on August 27 at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA; September 2 at Central Park Summerstage in New York, NY; September 17 at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT; and September 26 at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN, among other dates.

Iconic singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has announced plans for his latest Ballpark Tour. With support from Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp, the so-called Bob Dylan Show will hit minor league ballparks across the United States this summer. Twenty-two shows are booked, all of which are general admission. But this jaunt isn't just for longtime Dylan fans; it's also a family affair. Children 14 years old and under get in free when they come with a ticketholding adult.
The Black Crowes tour scares up Halloween shows with Patti Smith
After a few late August festival performances, the Black Crowes' Euphoria or Bust Tour is continuing its flight across North America with two special concerts recently added to the books. The next leg of the tour begins September 3 in Victoria, BC, and wraps with five shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA: December 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20.
The Crowes recently added a pair of Halloween performances to the itinerary for October 30-31 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, with special guest Patti Smith and Her Band. The Halloween shows will end the Crowes' four-night run at the Hammerstein, which begins with October 27-28 shows.
