Ticket sales for sveral major concert and theatre events are closing throughout the week ending March 16, as compiled by TicketNews.
Actor Will Ferrell, of Saturday Night Live fame, will complete his limited-engagement run at Cort Theatre in New York, NY, this week. The solo show You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush started previews on January 20 and opened on February 5. The send-up of the 43rd President of the United States of America completes its Broadway residency on March 15 after matinee and evening performances.
Will Ferrell, “Catch Me” Heading to the Broadway Stage
Always dreamed of being in a Broadway show? Here’s your chance. The producers of the new Broadway musical adaptation of Catch Me If You Can are inviting male actors in their 20s to audition for the role of the real-life character Frank Abagnale Jr., the master thief and impersonator who was played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the filmed version of his story. The musical is in development with book by Terrence McNally with music and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Witman. Tony Award winning choreographer Jerry Mitchell is also rumored to be on tap. The auditions are scheduled to take place in Orlando at the Columbus Center Dance Academy today, Jan. 17, in New York at Telsey + Company on West 43rd Street on Jan. 19 and in Chicago at Lou Conte Dance Center on Jan. 23.
