Consummate singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen will close out his 2009 world tour with a new round of U.S. concerts this fall. The 15-date outing includes some new markets for Cohen, who had been off the U.S. circuit for about 15 years, as well as some cities visited earlier in the year. Ticket sales for the trek open to the public on August 3.

Pop rock trio Hanson is teaming up with Hellogoodbye for this fall’s Use Your Sole Tour, which will raise awareness about and funds for the fight against poverty and AIDS in Africa. On a lighter note, VH1 Divas is returning to the airwaves as Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus kick off the rejuvenated series with a live concert. In other television entertainment news, original “Britain’s Got Talent” winner Paul Potts was forced to cancel his final U.S. performance of the season due to “logistic and production” issues with the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC.

Social Distortion has extended its 2009 touring plans through the fall with a fresh round of nearly 20 concerts. The new schedule picks up September 18 at Majestic Theatre in Ventura, CA, and ends October 18 at NorVa in Norfolk, VA. The coast-to-coast circuit includes shows on September 23 at Belly Up in Aspen, CO; September 27 at Pop’s in Sauget, IL; October 3 at Ches-A-Rena in Pittsburgh, PA; October 7 at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ; and October 17 at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ. The late fall tour will include supporting sets from TAT and The Strangers. Social Distortion’s summer schedule continues on July 24 at Edmonton Event Centre in Edmonton, AB, and ends August 8 at Wakestock World Series in Collingwood, ON.

Method Man and regular tour partner Redman are on the road for their latest series of U.S. performances. The rap power-duo continues its stint supporting the collaborative “Blackout 2” tonight, July 22, at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC, with more dates following through September 17 at Showbox at the Market in Seattle, WA. Highlights of the upcoming calendar include performances on July 25 at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ; August 6 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA; August 9 at Emo’s in Austin, TX; and August 16 at Mezzanine in San Francisco, CA.

Marilyn Manson will continue his shock rock shtick for a couple weeks after completing his current stint with the 2009 Mayhem Festival. The musician and his band have confirmed more than 10 headline concerts for the U.S. and Canada, picking up August 21 at The Joint in Las Vegas, NV, and ending September 13 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Other scheduled dates are August 23 at the Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, CA; September 3 at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA; and September 8 at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC. This year’s Mayhem Festival continues tonight, July 22, at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, MO, and ends August 15 at Superpages.com Center in Dallas, TX.

Yo La Tengo has blocked out plans for a 24-date North American tour this fall. The venture launches September 15 at Higher Ground in South Burlington, VT, and wraps October 22 at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, WA. Along the way, the band has gigs lined up for September 19 at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA; October 3 at Opera House Concert Venue in Toronto, ON; October 10 at Ogden Theatre iN Denver, CO; October 15 at The Avalon in Los Angeles, CA; and October 21 at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC. The national venture is closely followed by a November tour of the UK and Europe that stretches from November 5 at Tripod in Dublin, Ireland, through November 30 at Le Bataclan in Paris, France.

Guster is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its album “Lost and Gone Forever” with a brief U.S. tour. During the 10-date jaunt, the alt-rock crew will perform the classic album in its entirety. Dates pick up October 28 at Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC, and conclude November 27-28 at Beacon Theatre in New York, NY. The remaining concerts on the schedule are booked for October 29-30 at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC; October 31 at Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA; November 4 at Madison Theater in Cincinnati, OH; November 5 at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH; November 6 at Main Street Armory in Rochester, NY; and November 7 at Higher Ground in South Burlington, VT.

Arctic Monkeys are booked into a fresh round of U.S. tour dates this fall. The itinerary opens with a September 14 concert at Soma in San Diego, CA, and ends October 5 at Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, TX. Bookended by various international dates, the tour also includes gigs on September 18 at Wonder Ballroom in Portland, OR; September 25 at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN; and October 3 at the House of Blues in Houston, TX. The Arctic Monkeys will perform two dates in Canada on September 20 at Malkin Bowl in Vancouver, BC, and September 29 at Kool Haus in Toronto, ON, as well as two shows with The Airborne Toxic Event on September 22 at In The Venue in Salt Lake City, UT, and September 23 at Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO.

Tiesto will end its lengthy 2009 world tour with a round of gigs across the U.S. and Canada in the fall. The North American performance schedule kicks off with a September 24-26 stand at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY, and ends November 11 at Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, BC. Concerts are also on the line for October 2 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC; October 11 at Fur in Washington, DC; October 18 at The Ritz in Tampa, FL; October 24 at Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, TX; October 27 at Limelight in Nashville, TN; and October 31 at Congress Theater in Chicago, IL. Carbon Leaf will hit the road this fall for a 26-date tour of the U.S. with Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers. The trek begins September 15 at Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, MI, and leaves off temporarily with an October 16-17 stand at World Café Live in Philadelphia, PA, before coming back for an addition two dates on November 27-28 at Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY. The two bands are also set for shows on September 18 at Park West in Chicago, IL; September 23 at Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO; September 29 at Antone’s in Austin, TX; October 4 at Exit/In in Nashville, TN; and October 14 at State Theatre in State College, PA.

Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers have some other concert dates booked in addition to the trek with Carbon Leaf. The band’s late 2009 performance schedule also includes gigs on October 30 at The Egg in Albany, NY; November 2 at Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room in St. Louis, MO; and December 26 at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, among other dates. The group will also team up with Tyrone Wells for a stretch of West Coast shows from November 5 at Anthology in San Diego, CA, through November 14 at Neumos in Seattle, WA. Stops along the way are booked for November 6 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA, and November 11 at Aladdin Theater in Portland, OR.
