Stubhub has announced that it will no longer be showing the all in price effective tomorrow, and will establish a floor price of $6.00 for all tickets.

“The announcement by StubHub is a solid rebuke of former President Chris Tsakalakis’ policies”, said Don Vaccaro, CEO of TicketNetwork, a major competitor of StubHub in the ticket reselling industry. “I’m sure that their research and analytics showed it would not work, and was frankly amazed that they went forward with the change anyway.”

Industry experts believe that next major change made by StubHub will be to eliminate a ticket broker’s ability to preload ticket PDFs onto the company’s and Ticketmaster exchanges. Industry experts have complained that in some instances this process allows multiple customers to purchase the same ticket. This practice may have been a catalyst for Ticketmaster delaying the delivery of ticket PDFs to millions of consumers to professional sporting events to a few days before the event.

Vaccaro also had a lot to say about the preloaded ticket PDFs and their effect on the ticketing industry. “This was another of Chris Tsakalakis policies that is at the very least is bad for business and the industry as a whole, and perhaps may be illegal. It’s easy to see how double selling tickets could backfire on StubHub, and I’m assuming, like I predicted with the all in pricing changes they made, that they will be changing their policy soon before government action forces them to do so.”
