After completing a month of opening concerts for punk-rock mavens Green Day, the boys of The Bravery will hit the ground running this fall with some new material and a headlining tour. The 30-city circuit kicks off October 1 at Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO, and concludes November 11 at Venue in Vancouver, BC.

Other highlights of the six-week run include stops on October 4 at Vic Theatre in Chicago, IL; October 8 at Terminal 5 in New York, NY; October 20 at Center stage in Atlanta, GA; November 5 at The Wiltern in los Angeles, CA; and November 9 at Showbox at the Market in Seattle, WA.

In addition to the tour’s closing date, only one other performance is currently schedule in Canada. The rock crew will head north of the border earlier on its run for an October 6 event at Opera House Concert Venue in Toronto, ON.

Ticket presales began earlier this week on August 19 and are currently on-going. The tour’s box offices will be open to the general public starting tomorrow, August 22.

On the upcoming headline tour, fans of The Bravery can expect to hear some new tracks destined for the band’s forthcoming third studio album. The rock crew has already spent much of the year in the studio for the project, which is currently untitled and awaiting a release date in late 2009.

“Our long silence has been due to the fact that we’ve been living in an abandoned church in the woods of upstate NY, recording our 3rd album,” the band wrote in an early summer update on its official Web site. “It’s almost finished; we can’t yet tell you exactly when it will be coming out—when it’s done, it’s done. But it won’t be long.”

The Bravery has already gotten back into the swing of touring with a one-month supporting stint on the first leg of Green Day’s North American tour. That venture kept the band on the road from July 3 at Key Arena in Seattle, WA, through July 25 at Times Union Center in Albany, NY. From there, Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand stepped in as the support for the second and third legs of the tour, respectively.

Supporting acts for The Bravery’s own tour have not yet been announced.
