The Police opened the final leg of its 2007-2008 world tour at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, ON on May 1. Playing mostly the songs from previous legs of the tour, albeit some with new arrangements, the trio also added “Bring On The Night” and “Demolition Man” to its repertoire.

The Police are performing its final 51 concerts in 47 cities, mostly in markets they bypassed last year, including 33 concerts in North America and 18 in Europe.

In between the shows throughout North America, The Police return to Europe for a number of prestigious festival events, including performances at the Isle of Wight and Hyde Park Festivals in the UK, the TW Festival in Belgium, the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Venice, the BBK Live in Bilbao and culminating with the Rock in Rio Festival in Madrid. Additional European dates include a return to France and Germany along with concert dates in Zurich, Belgrade, Chorzow and Valencia where The Police will perform in arenas and stadiums through Junee and Julyy.

The Police had the top tour of 2007 grossing more $212 million and performing to more than 2.5 million people on five continents. By its conclusion this Augustust, the tour is expected to be one of the top five highest grossing tours of all time with revenues exceeding $340 million. The tour is produced by Live Nation Global Touring in association with RZO Entertainment, Inc.
