Ticket Summit News

Ticket Summit, created and hosted by TicketNews parent company TicketNetwork, is the leading trade show and conference that focuses on the secondary ticket industry. Launched as an annual event in the summer of 2006, the conference now is a biannual event with a show in New York City in January and one in Las Vegas in July.

The event is attended by several hundred ticket brokers and ticketing professionals who are experts and leaders within the ticket community. Ticket Summit offers attendees great networking opportunities within the industry, in addition to seminars and workshops dedicated to helping them build their businesses.

In addition to brokers and ticketing professionals, Ticket Summit also offers attendees the chance to meet representatives from the theater and professional sports communities, and technology and software sectors.

NATB's World Ticket Conference planned for July in new venue

After publicly sparring with hotel giant Steve Wynn over his ticketing policy for the Garth Brooks residency at Wynn's namesake resort and casino, the National Association of Ticket Brokers (NATB) has settled on Aria for the latest edition of its World Ticket Conference in Las Vegas.

The trade association's annual show is scheduled for July 16-18 at the new resort and casino, which is part of the new CityCenter development complex in the middle of Las Vegas.  Full Story...

Ticket Summit primary ticketing panel: Expect Ticketmaster / Live Nation deal to happen

The second-annual Ticket Summit NYC conference and trade show ended late last week with a warning from ticketing industry leaders during a keynote discussion panel: Get ready for a world with a combined Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

During the keynote panel, "Then & Now: The Primary Market," all four participants said they believed the controversial merger will be approved in some form or another by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), despite a growing opposition to the deal. None of the four – former Ticketmaster President and CEO Sean Moriarty; Veritix President Jeff Kline; Tickets.com CEO Larry Witherspoon; and TicketFly co-founder Andrew Dreskin – predicted when the deal would receive a nod from DOJ, or specifically how the merger will look.  Full Story...

Hundreds of ticketing professionals attend 2nd annual Ticket Summit in New York City

An estimated 500 ticket brokers and other ticketing professional descended on the Waldorf=Astoria for Ticket Summit this week, where the attendees networked with their cohorts and learned what the future holds for the secondary ticket market.

The conference and trade show, the largest for the ticket resale industry, kicked off Wednesday night with a cocktail reception and on Thursday brought together a diverse group of ticketing experts who offered insights into all aspects of the secondary ticket market, such as the economics of the industry; what legislative issues lie ahead; and how to boost the relationship between concert promoters and the Broadway theater box offices and brokers, to name a few.  Full Story...

'How to Price your Tickets' panel at Ticket Summit to show brokers how to optimize pricing strategies

As part of the final day's activities at Ticket Summit, running from January 13-15 at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York City, attendees of the panel "How to Price your Tickets" can review their pricing strategies and hear from industry professionals about dynamic pricing's potential benefits to their business.

Ticket Summit, secondary ticketing industry's largest conference, starts today in New York City

Hundreds of ticket industry professionals will descend on the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel in Manhattan beginning today for Ticket Summit, the secondary ticketing market's largest conference and trade show.
