Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will team up once again, this time in Las Vegas for a 10-week run at the Venetian Theatre beginning in December that will give fans a chance to see the country crooners in a far more intimate setting.
Performances for the multi-platinum selling husband and wife duo’s Soul2Soul show will begin December 7 and will run until April with four shows per weekend. The pair previously toured together in 2000 and 2006 for a highly successful tour of the same name, which became the highest-grossing country tour of all time.
This time around McGraw and Hill will play the intimate 1,800-seat theatre at the Venetian Hotel rather than giant stadiums and arenas. According to CMT, a big part of the couple choosing to do the show came down to the flexible schedule and the casino’s understanding of their family obligations. “I know that it’s hard to believe,” Hill said during an August 7 announcement of the show. “But, literally, the Venetian got our girls’ school schedules and built this show around them. It is 10 weekends between December and April, and it is really just a Saturday and Sunday. They [the couple’s daughters] will probably come with us most of the time.”
According to the show’s website, there are strict limits on the number of tickets that can be purchased and multiple purchases are forbidden. Additionally, management reserves the right to cancel an order if a person is found selling tickets at higher than face value. Tickets can only be retrieved via will call and the purchaser must show their ID, confirmation number and credit card used to purchase the tickets.
Performance dates for the show are December 7-8, 14-15, January 18-19, 25-26, February 1-2, 15-16, 22-23, March 1-2, April 12-13, and 26-27. Tickets went on sale August 13. According to Billboard.biz, tickets will cost 95.50 to $295.50 with VIP packages available for $1000. The age limited for the show is five years and older and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
McGraw recently made headlines after a legal dispute with former record label Curb Records and label executive Mike Curb after which he signed with Big Machine Records, which also hosts artists like Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Jewel, The Band Perry, Martina McBride, and Reba McEntire.
With hits like “Live Like You Were Dying,” “Back When,” “Something Like That,” and “Where the Green Grass Grows,” McGraw is currently on tour with fellow country superstar Kenny Chesney for the Brothers of the Sun Tour, which ends August 25 at Gillette Stadium.
Hill recently released the first single off her upcoming album, a cover of a OneRepublic song called “Come Home.” Hill’s latest album, rumored to be titled “Illusion,” is the singer’s eighth album and first in seven years, other than a 2008 holiday album. She has had eight number-one singles and three number-one albums on the U.S. Country charts.
When speaking at the CMA Music Fest in June about her upcoming album, Hill also discussed future plans for a tour. “That’s a question everybody’s been asking me!,” said Hill. “I hope this year, a few shows. I haven’t toured in a really long time, so I’m excited to be on stage playing music.”
Although she will likely not be on tour for her album come December, Hill will still get to perform for fans when she hits the Venetian stage alongside her husband.
“The focus of this has been a chance to be onstage the entire time together in an intimate setting and make it about us,” McGraw told CMT. “We will do all of our duets and throw in some surprises. All of our songs are ballads, so we are going to do some cool things that are up-tempo, as well. There are so many great duets that would be fun to do.”
