After spending the summer on stage with the traveling Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, the Florida-based heavy metal band Trivium is ready to launch its own headlining venture for North America.

The lengthy “Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour” schedule kicks off with a September 11 concert at The Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, NY, and concludes December 13 at Club Firestone in Orlando, FL. The 63-date itinerary spans three months and hits markets from coast-to-coast across the United States and Canada.

In the states, highlights are a September 25 concert at Wonder Ballroom in Portland, OR; an October 6 show at Emo’s in Austin, TX; a November 5 performance at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, NY; a November 17 set at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL; and a December 5 event at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK.

North of the border, nine concerts are on the books and interspersed throughout the late-year run. Featured stops include an early September 16 set at Cowboy Bar in Guelph, ON, as well as later engagements on November 9 at Medley in Montreal, QC, and November 24 at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC.

Tickets for some of the early dates of the tour are already available for sale to the general public. The next rounds of sales will open September 8 and continue through the end of the week for later stops on the 2009 North American itinerary.

15 for $15 with Napster!Whitechapel and Dirge Within are scheduled to support the full run of the tour, from its opening in September through its mid-December close. Darkest Hour is also on the bill for the tour’s first leg, which ends October 12 at The National in Richmond, VA. Chimaira will pick up opening duties for the second round of dates, which begins October 29 at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA.

Trivium is wrapping up its touring campaign for the group’s fourth studio album, “Shogun.” Released in September 2008, the effort earned the band its highest position on the Billboard 200 with a debut at No. 23.

“Our live show, without a doubt in my mind, is now the strongest it has ever been; our sets are more diverse, tighter than ever and we’ve got some of the sickest current metal bands out with us to bring you one hell of a tour,” said Trivium’s lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy in a statement. “This very well could be the last one for a while, so let’s do this in style.”
