Despite being chosen by America to play the leads of Sandy Dumbrowski and Danny Zuko in this summer’s Broadway Grease revival that has already eclipsed $9 million in ticket sales, Crumm and Osnes are reportedly not the favorites of some theater goers that already bought tickets.

Instead, according to a Wednesday report in The New York Post (written by a clearly anti-Grease theater columnist who also alleges that “the Broadway community despised You’re the One That I Want”) some Grease fans would rather see runner-ups Austin Miller and Ashley Spencer take the stage as respective members of the T-Birds and Pink Ladies.

“There was a bit of a frenzy because a lot of people wanted Austin and Ashley to win,” a source told The Post, adding that phones at Ticketmaster were “ringing off the hook” following NBC’s Grease finale on March 26. “They wanted their money back.” (Full Story)
