Virgin Mobile will be hosting its fifth annual FreeFest on September 21st at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. The charitable festival is part of the company’s initiative to end youth homelessness and will feature numerous popular artists performing on multiple stages. Some of the highly anticipated acts for this event include Vampire Weekend, Robin Thicke, and MGMT. Unlike past years, which tended to be heavier on rock artists, this year will be geared more towards electronic dance music and will also feature the likes of Pretty Lights, Kaskade, Madeon and dozens of other artists. Tickets will go on sale for Virgin Mobile customers, prior festival ticket buyers, and fans of the company on Facebook and Twitter on August 8th. On August 9th at noon, organizers will be offering free tickets or the opportunity to purchase a “freemium” package which will include a ticket, a t-shirt, and a souvenir cup that comes with free fountain drinks throughout the festival.
