Bad Girl Lily Allen Finds Trouble Again

By Alfred Branch, Jr.

First it was exhaustion and general drunkenness, this time British pop star Lily Allen may have to cancel some upcoming U.S. shows reportedly due to her visa being revoked.

BBC News and Pitchfork are reporting that Allen was temporarily detained by U.S. authorities in Los Angeles over the weekend and questioned about an alleged altercation in the spring in the U.K. between the singer and a photographer. Her U.S. working visa was reportedly revoked, but Allen was allowed to remain in the U.S. for the time being. According to Pitchfork, she is currently filming a music video in Las Vegas with rapper and actor Common for his latest album Finding Forever. . .

Allen canceled 18 U.S. shows in the spring due to hard-partying ways. She is scheduled to perform nine shows in Europe and South America from August 10 to September 1, and then she is slated to return to the U.S. for six West Coast shows from September 6-15.

The status of those six U.S. dates may now be in jeopardy, but Allen and her representatives insist that everything will remain on schedule. Neale Easterby, Allen’s manager, pooh-poohed the notion of possibly canceling the six September shows. “It’s rubbish,” he reportedly told Billboard.com.
