AEG exploring possible partnerships with ticketing companies
Mon, Nov 2nd 2009 6:52 pm EST
Looking at a landscape where the possibility of Ticketmaster and Live Nation merging remains strong, entertainment company and concert promoter AEG is reportedly looking at taking on a partner to sell tickets. According to Bloomberg, AEG is exploring potential deals with Veritix and MLB's Tickets.com, and also considering launching its own ticketing operation. Sources told Bloomberg that AEG's ticketing contract with Ticketmaster expires in 2012, but that the company could get out of it sooner if the Live Nation merger is completed.
