New Jersey Nets clear court hurdle for Brooklyn move

TicketNewswire

In a 6-1 ruling, the New York State Court of Appeals Tuesday approved a measure supporting eminent domain that will essentially allow developers to build a new redevelopment complex in Brooklyn that is slated to be the new home of the New Jersey Nets. The 22-acre Atlantic Yards property is being developed by Forest City Ratner Cos. for about $5 billion, and project is also expected to include apartments and office towers, according to The Wall Street Journal. The ruling is similar to a 2005 U.S. Supreme Court decision that also upheld government's ability to seize private property.

Nets... Nuts!!

OK, it has been several hours now since this obvious decision was made. Why aren't the Nets in Brooklyn yet? Any coincidence the Nets are now playing within smelling distance of the swamps? If they need a driver to help them move, I will volunteer!! I will even make myself available on Thanksgiving day, Christmas day or new Years day!
