Thu, Oct 22nd 2009 1:38 pm EST
An infected left hand has forced fighter Kelly Pavlik to back out of his scheduled December 5 boxing match with Paul Williams, the second time the bout has been scrapped. According to Yahoo Sports, Pavlik's injured hand, which he has had operated on, caused the fight to be moved from October to December. The fight was one of the most highly anticipated of the year, because both middleweights have only suffered one defeat each. Organizers hope to reschedule the fight for a future date.
