When I lived in Nashville Tennessee many years ago, I couldn’t help but become a Tennessee Titans fan. Titans fever was everywhere.
Now, years later I have moved on, as have many of my favorite players from the “original” Titans team. Greats like Jevon Kearse, Samarie Rolle, Frank Wycheck, Eddie George and Derrick Mason.
When I first heard that Steve McNair was going to the Baltimore Ravens for the 2006 season, I was in utter shock. The Ravens were the Titans arch enemies. They still are on many levels.
Forward to week 4 in the 2006 NFL season and Steve McNair is doing what he does best. Win. On Sunday October 1, the 3-0 Ravens took on the undefeated San Diego Chargers. It was a battle to the finish, and it was Steve McNair that marched the Ravens down the field in heroic form. When the dust settled, the score was 16-13, and the Baltimore Ravens were victorious over the San Diego Chargers.
The Ravens are now 4-0 and looking good on both offense and defense. The Titans on the other hand, well they are 0-4. Seems they got rid of McNair a bit too early. I believe both the Ravens and McNair got the better end of the deal. Go Ravens.
