The 49th annual Grammy awards have been announced to honor some of the years best recording accomplishments. As usual some of the artists’ efforts have pulled down multiple nominations. The top two potential winners are no strangers to the World of Grammy’s: Mary J. Blige with eight nominations and the Red Hot Chili Peppers earning six. Other artists like James Blunt, the Dixie Chicks, John Mayer, Prince, Beyoncé, Gnarls Barkley and Justin Timberlake could all be walking home with their arms full of awards. So maybe you’d like to get ready for Grammy night by catching some of the nominees performing live on tour. Well you might be surprised who’s on the road and who’s not.
Let’s start with the R&B queen herself Mary J. Sorry…You’ll have to wait for her appearance at the Grammy award ceremonies February 11th at the Staples Center. And to see the Chili Peppers just wait until January when you can rock with them from Dallas to DC
As a matter of fact when you look at the top nominees here’s Who’s on the road:
Gnarls Barkley (with The Flaming Lips)
When you examine the categories you’ll find that some of Rap’s top nominees…like Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott and Mos Def are missing the action. Maybe they’ll get invited to play at the Grammy’s because they are not on the road.
