By Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen

Looking to build upon the success of their first-ever holiday album, “Home For Christmas,” which debuted last year, Daryl Hall & John Oates have re-released the album through their own U-Watch/DKE Records, distributed by ICON Music Entertainment Services. The re-release will lead into the launch of their 10-city, 11-date Christmas theater tour on Nov. 30 in Chicago. The tour winds down Dec. 17 in Philadelphia.

The duo’s version of “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear” from the album reached #1 on Billboard’s Christmas chart last year. The album, which was part of an exclusive arrangement with Trans World Entertainment, will now be available for the first time at all music retailers nationwide, as well as online.

Produced by Daryl Hall and longtime collaborators T-Bone Wolk and Greg Bieck, “Home for Christmas,” with special cover art designed by Michael McCurdy, features new and traditional holiday anthems such as “The First Noel,” “The Christmas Song,” “Mary Had a Baby,” “O Holy Night” and a re-recording of “Jingle Bell Rock,” a promo-only single. They each wrote one original song for the collection, the title track “Home For Christmas and “No Child Should Ever Cry on Christmas.”
