San Diego band Pierce The Veil, fresh from a tour across the United Kingdom with The Blackout, continue their trek with label mates, Chiodos, in support of their recently released debut “A Flair for the Dramatic” on Equal Vision Records. Having built a solid fan base in the underground SoCal music scene that birthed blink-182, Pinback, As I Lay Dying, and Thrice, Pierce The Veil has been making waves into the mainstream with their unique brand of melody and artistic rhythm. They have previously toured with Portugal the Man, Poison the Well, Alesana, and Fear Before The March of Flames, among others.
Pierce The Veil’s unusual song structures provide the foundation for complex guitar lines and contrasting soothing/abrasive vocals to mingle and form memorable hooks. The four-person outfit is led by brothers Victor Fuentes (guirar and vocals) and Michael Fuentes (drums), and also includes Jaime Preciado (bass) and Tony Perry (guitar). Their album was produced by the up-and-coming producer Casey Bates (Chiodos, Fear Before The March of Flames, Portugal The Man) at his suburban Seattle studios.
