Acclaimed singer-songwriter David Gray is celebrating the U.S. release of “Greatest Hits” with a short North American tour. Launching Dec. 2 in Toronto, the tour will feature song from the Nov. 13 release, his first compilation spanning his entire recording career. Joshua James is the tour’s supporting act, and the trek will wind down with a pair of West Coast holiday radio station concert performances on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.

While in Los Angeles for his Dec. 9 Wiltern show, Gray will perform on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” (Dec. 10) and on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (Dec.11).

“Greatest Hits” includes such classic Gray compositions as “Babylon,” “Please Forgive Me,” “Be Mine” and “The One I Love,” a live version of “Shine” and two brand new tracks produced by legendary Pink Floyd/Sex Pistols producer Chris Thomas – “Destroyer” and the lead single “You’re The World To Me,” which is climbing the charts at AAA radio and was recently the #1 most added track for the format.

The new material marks Gray’s first studio recordings since 2005’s “Life In Slow Motion.” Gray, who has sold 11 million CDs worldwide, anticipates releasing his next studio album in fall 2008.
