Just because the holidays are fast approaching doesn’t mean consumers can’t find some bargains on a couple of upcoming shows in New York, as evidenced by examples from a review of ticketing websites for two separate events this week.

Friday night’s Z100 Jingle Ball show at Madison Square Garden features Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys, Fall Out Boy, Jonas Brothers and others, and offers a good deal on some tickets. For example, a search conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 11, turned up seats in the 300 Level near the stage at the Garden for $175 each (not including convenience and shipping charges) on CoastToCoastTickets.com.

A search a little farther way from the stage but still in the 300 Level turned up seats for $150 a piece, again, not including convenience and shipping charges. Those same tickets at face value on Ticketmaster.com fetched $210 each, not including convenience and shipping fees.

As for Broadway shows, the popular musical Spring Awakening offers theatergoers a deal for Thurday night’s show.

Based on a search conducted Tuesday, Orchestra Level seats were selling for $86 each on TicketSpot.com, but were selling at face value on Telecharge.com for $111.50 a piece. Both prices do not include convenience and shipping fees.
