Serj Tankian, frontman for multi-platinum rock band System Of A Down, will hit the road next month for a string of headlining U.S. tour dates in support of his debut solo album, “Elect The Dead.” His tour will bracket a series of shows supporting Foo Fighters with whom he recently toured in the UK.

Tankian’s first set of headlining shows runs Feb. 11-16, then resumes March 8-21; support dates with Foo Fighters begin Feb. 18 and end March 6 with two nights in Los Angeles at The Forum.

“Elect The Dead” was released in October by Serjical Strike/Reprise Records and debuted at Number 1 on Billboard’s Hard and Alternative charts, Number 2 on the Rock chart, Number 4 on the Top 200 chart and Number 5 on the Digital chart. The first single, “Empty Walls,” was a hit at Alternative and Rock radio, as well as Elite 8 on MTV2, and Heavy Rotation on Fuse. The second single, “Sky Is Over,” will hit radio on Jan. 28
