Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, and Trey Anastasio and Classic TAB featuring Russ Lawton are among the additional acts that have been added to the first-ever All Points West Music & Arts Festival on August 8-10 at New Jersey’s Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.
Among the other acts added include Tony Markellis and Ray Paczkowski, Robyn, Matt Costa and Ben Jelen for August 10. Grizzly Bear and The Duke Spirit have been added to the August 8 bill. The inaugural line-up for the festival features headliners Radiohead and Jack Johnson (performing full sets in their only New York area appearances), Underworld, Kings of Leon, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cat Power, The Roots and The New Pornographers, among others. More than 40 acts will appear on three stages throughout the 80-acre historic location with panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Manhattan skyline.
Additionally, based on the commitment to creating a “green” festival environment, event producers Goldenvoice/AEG Live and Liberty Events in association with the HighLine Ballroom, are pushing a 15-minute ferry trip rather than traveling by car to the site that is generally backed up for miles since it is a single lane road. Round trip ferry tickets are available now for $20; as of July 28 the price will be $25 and $30 if purchased at the ferry box office on the day of the show.
Single day passes for All Points West are $89; three-day passes are $258. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit Friends of Liberty State Park, an open space advocacy volunteer organization dedicated to the park’s future as a free, green and non-commercial, urban waterfront oasis.
