Following on the heels of a sold out national spring tour, an appearance at the Coachella Festival and a performance on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Flogging Molly have planned a fall tour across North America. Set to kick off September 12 in Portland, ME, the tour will take the band through many markets that it missed on its spring “Green 17” outing before the tour wraps in Los Angeles on October 25. There are 22 concerts booked so far in 21 cities–San Francisco, CA will host two shows.
The band’s 2008 album “Float” was released on March 4 and catapulted them into a #4 slot on the Billboard Top 200, a #1 spot on the Billboard Independent Albums and #2 spot on the Billboard Alternative Album Chart. Flogging Molly’s combined album sales in the U.S. are currently over 1.3 million and their shows consistently sell out all over the world. Their previous album, “Within a Mile of Home,” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Independent Artist Chart and #20 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart. .
Flogging Molly will be playing festival shows this summer across Europe and the United States including a performance at Lollapalooza on August 3 in Chicago and the River Rocks festival in New York City on July 31.
