“TicketNews announces top ticket sellers rankings for the week ending September 27, 2008.”
Vernon, CT October 1, 2008 – This past week, Ticketmaster’s first quarterly financial filing since being spun off from parent company IAC/InterActiveCorp on June 23rd, reported a 30 percent spike in revenues to $382.4 million for the quarter ending June 30, 2008, compared to the same period in 2007. Trading under the symbol TKTM, the data below does not reflect the recent impact of the Ticketmaster’s spin off to its stock price.
Ranking 12th on TicketNews’s Top Overall Sellers list was Ticket City, a company which also made news this past week. The Texas based company was handed a lawsuit by the state’s attorney general claiming that Ticket City defrauded a customer on an order worth several thousand dollars for tickets to the Beijing Olympics. The company told TicketNews that the lawsuit was without merit, but declined to comment further because the case is still pending.
Ticketmaster kept its huge lead over the rest of the ticket industry this past week with a power score of 42.31 and StubHub ranking second once again with a power score of 12.07. Live Nation had a strong week with a power score of 10.03, edging out TicketsNow for the third place position.

In the Top Primary Sellers rankings list, the bottom of the list with numbers four through ten all changed from last week’s list. Telecharge jumped into the top five position this week with a power score of 0.92. Ticketmaster held onto a commanding lead in the market with a power score of 70.22.
