Best known for his sarcastic sense of humor and cutting one-liners, Spade’s stand-up performance runs 75 minutes and begins January 1-3. Other dates have not been announced yet.

Spade will be performing one show a night with tickets priced at $49, $69 and $89 plus tax and handling fees. A limited number of VIP Packages, which include front row seats and the opportunity to meet Spade after the show, will be available for $149 per person plus tax and handling fees.

“2009 is going to be another great year for entertainment at The Venetian, and we are excited to kick it off on with multi-talented comedian and performer, David Spade,” Jason Gastwirth, corporate vice president of entertainment for Las Vegas Sands Corp, said in a statement. “Spade will make a great addition to our existing line-up of world class entertainment available at The Venetian.”

“Everyone knows The Venetian is one of the most beautiful hotels on the strip,” added Spade. “I am looking forward to some fun shows in 2009.”
