Vince Gill tour charts new dates for winter, spring 

Country musician Vince Gill recently completed a holiday tour with wife Amy Grant, but he won’t be off the road for long before beginning his next round of solo dates in 2009.

The musician’s new itinerary begins with January 15-17 concerts at the Laura Turner Concert Hall in Nashville, TN. During the three-show run, Gill will be backed by the Nashville Symphony, conducted by Albert-George Schram. From there, the country music veteran will continue touring with scattered dates through June 11 at State Theatre CFA in Easton, PA.

Gill’s most recent studio album is the 2006 release “These Days,” which peaked on the Billboard 200 at No. 17 and on the country album charts at No. 4. The record was a follow-up to 2003’s “Next Big Thing.”

Over the course of his career, Gill has earned 18 Country Music Association awards and 19 Grammy awards, including the title for Best Country Album at the 50th annual awards ceremony. In addition to his critical successes, Gill has also remained a fan favorite during his nearly 30-year career, selling approximately 24 million albums, according to RIAA. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in August 2007.

During Gill’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Kyle Young of the Country Music Foundation noted, “Vince Gill is quite simply a living prism refracting all that is good in country music. He used the crystal planes of his songwriter, his playing, and his singing to give us a musical rainbow that embraces all men and spans all seasons.”
