Jagermeister has made its presence known by sponsoring rock, metal, hard rock and alternative music tours. Now it will kick off its first Jagermesiter Country Tour with Pat Green and special guest Randy Houser, starting January 31 in Atlanta, GA, and concluding in early May. Jagermeister currently sponsors many local country music acts, and some will be selected for opening slots.

Green’s new album “What I’m For” will be out on January 27. He is a three-time Grammy nominee and a world-class entertainer and songwriter. His legendary live shows have earned Green comparisons to Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp. To date, Green has sold nearly two million records, has a legion of loyal fans throughout the U.S., and has sold out venues from New York’s Nokia Theatre to the Astrodome in Houston.

“I’m totally stoked to be headlining the inaugural Jagermeister Country Tour and to have Randy Houser out with us is the icing on our cake,” said Green in a statement. “We’re gonna have a blast out there!”

Houser is one of country music’s hottest new artists. His current single, “Anything Goes,” made a big impact nationally when he performed on “The Late Show with David Letterman” after Letterman personally requested that he play on his show. The response was overwhelming.

“Jagermeister has been supporting musicians through sponsorships and national music tours for many years,” said Bill Henderson, senior vice president of Marketing and Advertising for Sidney Frank Importing Company. “We’re big fans of country music and have been interested in taking our music tour program in this direction for a long time. Jagermeister is a special product and we were looking for the perfect country artists to join this tour. We are thrilled that Pat Green and Randy Houser were willing to bring their talent on the road with us.”

Jagermeister’s last tour was a fall 2008 run with hard rock groups Hinder and Trapt. A spring 2008 edition of the tour earlier in the year featured metal bands Hatebreed and Type O Negative.
