The Connecticut Sun of the WNBA is the first North American professional sports team to employ a single swipe card for paperless ticketing and rewards, the Boston Globe reported this week. Season ticket holders are issued the card, which is part of the Ticketmaster paperless system, and the cards also give users a discount on concession food and rewards points in the Mohegan Sun casino next to where games are played.
