With just days to go until their new album is released, The Used has announced plans to back the record on the road this fall. The 28-date headline trek starts October 3 at the KFMA Fall Ball in Tucson, AZ, and ends with a November 14 performance in Portland, OR.
The closing night is currently the only date on the six-week jaunt without a confirmed venue. Other stops along the way are slated for October 15 at Riviera Theatre in Chicago, IL; October 27 at Roseland Ballroom in New York, NY; November 3 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA; and November 10 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA.
The tour bus will veer north of the border for two gigs early-on in the run: October 20 at Kool Haus in Toronto, ON, and October 21 at Metropolis in Montreal, QC.
Presales for the fall tour are currently on-going through August 28, or until presale ticket allotments have sold out. Tickets will then be available to the general public beginning August 29. Most primary ticket sales are being handled by Ticketmaster.
The Almost, a side project for Underoath drummer and vocalist Aaron Gillespie, will provide support for the tour, along with punk-rock act Drive A.
The Utah-based quartet is touring in support of its fourth full-length studio album, “Artwork,” scheduled for release on August 31. The band’s previously work, the May 2007 release “Lies for the Liars,” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and fared well on the international charts.
