PRESS RELEASE: “FanSnap Announces Pro Affiliates Program”

PALO ALTO, CA — (September 10, 2009) – FanSnap, the largest live event ticket search engine for fans, today announced the launch of FanSnap Pro Affiliates. The new FanSnap program lets member ticket sites assist their customers in finding tickets via the comprehensive FanSnap ticket search engine in the event the ticket site does not have the particular tickets their customer desires.

“Fans often bounce from ticket site to ticket site looking for the tickets that meet their event, date, location and budget requirements,” said Mike Janes, CEO and co-founder of FanSnap. “This is frustrating for fans, as well as the ticket companies that spend so much money marketing to those fans.”

A recent analysis of independent data verifies that approximately 70% of the potential customers leaving top broker sites continue their search on the search engines or go directly to another ticket site. Similarly, nearly 90% of visitors to top broker sites do not come back that same month.

FanSnap Pro Affiliates, which has been developed at numerous ticket sites’ request, is designed to not only help member ticket companies improve customer service, but also to offer a new high-margin revenue stream through a revenue share agreement.

The FanSnap ( search engine currently displays detailed ticket-level results from dozens of ticket providers, with more than twelve million sports, theatre and concert tickets to more than thirty thousand events.

FanSnap was also recently named the “Most Innovative New Search Engine” at the Search Engine Watch (SEW) Awards 2009 at this month’s prestigious Search Engine Strategies Conference San Jose.
