The Peachtree City City Council, upset over the high ticket fees charged by Ticketmaster, recently voted to end its contract with the ticketing giant at the municipally owned Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheatre. According to the Fayetteville Daily News, a replacement has not yet been found, but the city expects to save money with the move. In addition, it hopes to save fans money on tickets; Ticketmaster was charging as much as $10 in fees for some shows at the outdoor venue.
