One of pop music’s former golden girls is marking her return this year with new material and a headlining tour to match. Christina Aguilera will launch her 2010 global tour in North America on July 15, a month after her new album “Bionic” is set to drop.

Twenty tour dates have been announced for the world trek’s stateside leg, which stretches from the July 15 opener at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, through an August 19 concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. British songstress Leona Lewis will provide support throughout the tour.

Along the way, the platinum blonde multi-Platinum pop star has gigs slated for July 22 at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ; July 31 at Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA; August 7 at Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL; and August 14 at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ.

As her itinerary stands now, Aguilera will make just one concert stop in Canada. The summer tour’s routing will take her north of the border for a July 20 performance at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON.

Public onsales for the tour begin May 21, though Citibank card holders will have access to presales starting May 19. Ticket prices have not been announced, but more tour details are available on Aguilera’s official Web site.

Aguilera will release “Bionic,” her first full-length studio album since 2006’s “Back to Basics,” on June 8 in the United States. According to her site, fans who buy concert tickets before June 4 will receive a unique code to download a digital copy of the album on June 7, a day earlier than the official drop.

The summer 2010 jaunt is also Aguilera’s first full-length tour of the states since she wrapped her 2006-2007 Back to Basics Tour. During that outing, she completed more than 40 spring concert dates across the United States and Canada, as well as full tours of Europe, Asia and Australia.
