For unspecified reasons, Willie Nelson was recently forced to cancel a string of planned late spring performances this month. But the country music outlaw will resume his road dog ways soon enough, with a full slate of North American concerts booked from July through October.

His new performance calendar opens with a July 4 show at The Backyard in Austin, TX, and continues through an October 12 event at Northern Lights Casino in Milwaukee, WI.

Stops include August 1 at the Mayo Center for the Performing Arts in Morristown, NJ; August 13 at the House of Blues in Boston, MA; September 5 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO; and September 24 at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

Tickets to some concert dates are already available, while other markets are still awaiting the start of public onsales. More ticketing and onsale details are listed on Nelson’s official Web site.

Nelson’s planned October concert dates are rescheduled from late March, when the music icon was forced to postpone a week of performances due to “unanticipated scheduling conflicts,” according to a press statement.

The reason behind Nelson’s most recent batch of cancellations is less clear. The musician’s camp has only noted the affected concert dates and whether they’re cancelled or waiting to be rescheduled.

Louisiana-based venue L’Auberge du Lac released a press statement that said, “Unfortunately, Mr. Nelson tore a rotator cuff in his shoulder and he is currently being treated by a doctor.” Nelson had been scheduled to play a May 14-15 stand there.

But the regional Mississippi publication Daily Corinthian stated that a May 13 show at Crossroads Arena was cancelled after Nelson’s “longtime friend and drummer [Paul English] had a stroke” at the end of April.
