Having won the LeBron James lottery and subsequently selling out the team’s season tickets, the Miami Heat dismissed its members of its ticket sales staff late last week. According to the Miami Herald, the team fired about 30 staffers because its ticket inventory was depleted. Tickets have been so hot that the team now has a waiting list for season tickets with more than 6,000 names on it, and is now seemingly able to sell tickets without really trying, according to the Herald. “Should any season tickets become available, they will be handled through our season ticket deposit program. We thank those employees for their time with the company and wish them success in their future endeavors,” the team said in a statement.
