SportEvents.com, which specializes in event packages providers for professional sports, announced this week that it has recently completed an acquisition and merger with Front Row Tickets Inc., and that it has secured marketing agreements with both the Indianapolis Colts and the St. Louis Rams to provide upscale tailgating experiences for both teams’ home games.

SportEvents.com’s recent acquisition and merger will bring two of Indianapolis’ ticketing entities under one roof. While SportEvents.com declined to comment on the details of the merger, both companies now operate under the SportEvents.com Web site. It is expected that SportEvents.com will now provide similar services to ticket buyers that Front Row Tickets Inc. previously provided.

The concept of VIP ticketing packages, such as the ones SportEvents.com specialize in, have been popular for years, particularly with regard to NFL teams. In late July, the New England Patriots announced that they would be teaming up with Ace Ticket in Boston to provide flights, accommodations, and tickets to Patriots’ away games for the upcoming season. However, the new packages offered by SportEvents.com in conjunction with the Indianapolis Colts will focus more succinctly on improving the experience of local fans on game day, rather than on travel and hotel arrangements.

According to an e-mail sent to TicketNews by SportEvents.com president Kyle Kinnett, the marketing agreement between SportEvents.com, and the Colts will be centered on providing the best possible tailgating experience for football fans. SportEvents.com has experience in such offerings; the company currently owns and operates “Lounge on Magnolia,” a hospitality center for guests attending the annual Masters Golf Tournament in Georgia.

For the package with the Colts, SportEvents.com said it will be providing exclusive tailgating experiences to fans prior to kick-off of all Colts’ home games. Among the items expected to be included in the “VIP tailgating experience” will be a climate controlled tent, hot and cold entrée items as well as hors d’oeuvres, valet parking, local television and radio broadcasts, and appearances by former Colts players. No details were provided to TicketNews regarding the marketing agreement with the St. Louis Rams, and SportEvents.com declined to comment.
