Over the course of two consecutive nights this fall, Yoko Ono will again gather her all-star Plastic Ono Band for a series of special performances in Los Angeles, CA. The shows are slated for October 1-2 at the Orpheum Theatre.

Backed by her son Sean Lennon and Japanese musicians Cornelius and Yuka Honda, the performance artist will present her show “We Are Plastic Ono Band.” The concerts will serve as the West Coast encore for Ono’s one-off concert at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in Brooklyn, NY, that occurred at the start of the year.

Public ticket sales for both Orpheum show dates begin August 7 on Ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices start at $57 for balcony seats, while orchestra and mezzanine seats are set at $87. Gold Circle tickets for the theater’s front rows are also available for $147 apiece.

The resurrected Plastic Ono Band initially took the BAM stage on February 16 for a sold-out performance that The New York Times called “ghostly, furious, dreamy, caustic, urgent, exultant, orgasmic.” In addition to her new band line-up, Ono’s Brooklyn performance also included guest appearances from the likes of Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth, and even Bette Midler.

Special guests have not yet been announced for the upcoming Los Angeles concerts, but are expected to appear on Ono’s official Web site as they are confirmed. A message on the site noted, “Purchase tickets early for this rare concert event because once the guest artists are revealed, it will already be too late!”

The artist also urged her followers on Twitter to buy presale tickets, which are currently available, “[before] we reveal world-class special guests!”
