The current reigning queen of Las Vegas residencies will make her final curtain call in February 2011. This week, iconic singer Cher announced the final dates of her three-year residency at Caesars Palace, “Cher at the Colosseum.”

The pop music diva and actress begins her final run of shows in the 4,300-seat theater on January 11 and ends the residency February 5. Public onsales for the final 2011 performances start this Saturday, September 25. Ticket prices for the 90-minute extravaganza will start at $95 and range up to $250, according to show producer AEG Live.

As for Cher’s 2010 calendar, the singer resumed her fall performances September 21, and her four-night-per-week schedule continues through an October 31 event. Tickets to these remaining 2010 concerts are already available to the public with pre-fee prices ranging from $45 up to $227, according to Ticketmaster.com listings.

Cher announced the 200-show, three-year residency in February 2008, and began the first of her shows three months later in May 2008.

Since then, the singer has quickly become one of the top tickets in Vegas with a multimedia show that contains video clips and song selections that span her decades-long career, as well as a showy array of costumes befitting the often-daring fashionista.

Cher has claimed the No. 1 spot on TicketNews’ exclusive Top Vegas Event Rankings on a weekly basis since the start of February 2010, outpacing Sin City’s other residency acts like Barry Manilow, Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil.

She was also a top contender on the Vegas rankings for much of 2009, alternating between the top two positions alongside another of Vegas’ resident divas, Bette Midler, whose “The Showgirl Must Go On” ended in January 2010. Cher only briefly ran into trouble with her show when she cancelled her final shows of 2008 due to illness.

Replacing Cher’s engagement is returning Vegas staple Celine Dion, who begins a two-year engagement in the room March 15.
