The popular country band Rascal Flatts recently announced that they have extended their summer tour Changed with 11 additional performances.

The tour, which is scheduled to begin Friday, June 15 at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut, will now extend through September and October. The additional dates scatter throughout the tour. Some notable additional dates include: Omaha, NE on July 18; Sweet Home, OR on August 8; Louisville, KY on August 18; and London, Ontario on October 13. The tour will wrap up on October 27 in West Palm Beach, FL.

According to Jim Holzman, the CEO of Ace Ticket, tickets for the tour begin selling more as the date of the concert draws closer. “The tour seems to be gaining momentum as it gets closer to the dates,” stated Holzman.

Rascal Flatts’ latest album, also titled “Changed” is their eighth studio album. The album, which was released in April, has sold over 500,000 albums, states Soundspike, and has therefore received the gold certification from RIAA. “We are so appreciative of the many blessings our fans and country radio have given us,” stated Rascal Flatts’ lead guitarist Joe Don Rooney, about the receiving the gold certification, on the band’s personal website. “This is another amazing accomplishment that we’re able to celebrate because of so many others’ loyalty.”

This latest album was released on April 3 and has five co-written songs by the members of the band. “Rascal Flatts has the distinction of being one of the only four acts to have seven consecutive studio albums debut in the top spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart during the SoundScan era,” states the Rascal Flatts site. Their most recent single, “Banjo,” has recently become their fourteenth career No. 1 single. According to Billboard, “19,000 downloads were sold, according to Nielson SoundScan (256,000 total downloads sold), ‘Banjo ‘ ranks at No. 25 in its 11th week on Country Digital Songs.”

Joining Rascal Flatts’ on tour and opening for the band will be the Eli Young Band, Little Big Town, and Edens Edge. For two shows in Texas, however, husband and wife duo Thompson Square will fill in for Eli Young Band.

Little Big Town, will be promoting their most recent single “Pontoon,” which was released on April 30. According to The Boot, “‘Pontoon’ will be the first single released from LBT’s fifth studio album tentatively set for release in September.” They were signed back in 2000, by Monument Records, the same label that signed the Dixie Chicks, according to CMT.

The Eli Young Band will be playing songs off their most recent album, “Life at Best,” which was released on August 16 of last year. “Crazy Girl,” is sure to be included as the band received their first platinum record after the single sold 1.5 million downloads, their website stated.

A check of Ticketmaster today, June 15 showed that while the general admission lawn area has sold out there is still seating available to tonight’s tour opener in Hartford, Connecticut at the Comcast. To see the full list of dates for the Rascal Flatts Changed tour visit their official website.
