Ticketfly, a leading social ticketing platform, has announced rapid expansion in the Los Angeles market with growth that represents a 400 percent increase in the company’s overall customer base in the region.

According to a September 12 press release, over the past 18 months, Ticketfly has formed relationships with more than 30 new clients in Southern California, becoming the leading independent ticketing provider in the area, a region typically dominated by ticketing giants like Ticketmaster.

Gannon Hall, Ticketfly CMO told TicketNews via email that although the growth is natural since Ticketfly is a California-based company, many event organizers in the area are looking for a truly independent partner that can make their lives both easier and more lucrative, and thus many of them have turned to Ticketfly. “Ticketfly has always had roots in L.A. as a California-based company,” Hall told TicketNews. “We have a dedicated LA team and we understand the market well.”

Ticketfly has quickly become the platform of choice for some of Los Angeles’ premier live music venues and promoters like The Troubadour, Echo/Echoplex and Spaceland Presents, FYF Presents, Hollywood Forever, Guerilla Union, Bootleg Theater and The Fold, The Satellite, Chain Reaction, and The Glass House.

“We have seen some great sales success as new partners come on board,” Hall told TicketNews via email. “For Spaceland and The Echo/Echoplex, we offered and promoted a No Fees Fan Appreciation Day and saw a huge jump in sales. The response from fans upon seeing some of their favorite venues switch to Ticketfly has been overwhelmingly positive, and has created some solid buzz in the region, including a spot in the LA Times,” he added.

Aside from music venues, the popular social ticketing platform has also branched out to provide comprehensive ticketing solutions for all types of events in the city. Ticketfly has recently expanded their roster of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) clients to include Los Angeles EDM promoters Exchange L.A. and Monday Night Social. “In emerging markets like EDM ticketing, it’s more important than ever to be plugged into the social media behavior of fans and provide opportunities for them to buy tickets wherever they are — including mobile, Facebook, Twitter and email,” Hall told TicketNews.

The company also handles ticketing the 50-year-old Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire and the FYF Fest, an annual event held in downtown L.A. The Los Angeles Blues Soccer Club has also turned to Ticketfly to implement its online ticketing solution. Village Voice Media partners with the company for events nationally, which includes several in Los Angeles like L.A. Weekly’s 33rd Annual Theater Awards at Avalon Hollywood, Cinespia Presents, and Point Break Live! in Hollywood, Center for the Arts, and Eagle Rock.

“The Ticketfly platform is scalable for every size and type of event, and our suite of marketing and analytics tools allow event organizers to optimize their marketing based on actual ROI (return on investment),” Hall explained to TicketNews. “Ticketfly’s integrated ticketing and marketing tools, coupled with the deep industry and ticketing experience of our staff has quite simply never existed in the market until now.”

The announcement of their continuous industry momentum in Los Angeles follows several company milestones this year. TicketNews previously discussed Ticketfly’s launch of Reserved Seating in July and its recent $22 million Series C financing.
