Thrillcall, a live event discovery service, has announced that their free app is now available to Android users, allowing even more music fans to discover and purchase exclusive live music offers on the fly, straight from their mobile devices.

The app enables users to choose from either tonight’s music, for last minute tickets including tickets to sold-out shows and intimate events, or exclusive daily offers, which include VIP access, backstage passes, and even perks like discounted drinks at the venue. Users can purchase offers with just one touch, and a built-in map is available so that users can view the exact location of live shows.

“We’ve seen incredible demand for the app from Android users and we’re thrilled about extending our offering to this growing market,” said Thrillcall co-founder Matthew Tomaszewicz, in a recent press release. “Our customers keep telling us that the Thrillcall app is their go-to source for what live music is on tap in their city tonight, and we are keen to extend this benefit to Android users. Ultimately, we want to make live music as accessible, enjoyable and shareable as possible.”

Tomaszewicz told TicketNews®, the iOS app, which launched in February 2012, has made several updates since its release, including a feature available to Android users that lets fans listen to music samples before purchasing tickets. The app has also expanded to include listings for any day of the week instead of just tonight’s shows.

Thrillcall’s Android app is more than just a different version of the iOS app, it’s a leveraging tool for the company itself. “The Android app is built as a cross-platform mobile application to support all the different Android devices — cross-platform gives us leverage in the future to expand and allows us to push updates quicker,” Tomaszewicz told TicketNews® via email.

Listings are available in every major city in addition to localized offers in Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco, with three more cities being added this fall. Since launching its iOS app, Thrillcall has built strong relationships and now works with more than 60 venues plus leading music festivals across the U.S.

TicketNews® previously discussed how Thrillcall had expanded their network since launching the iOS app by partnering with industry giants like Live Nation and Tickets.com, to give consumers more accurate live event listings.

Tomaszewicz previously told TicketNews® that although the company was originally created to provide the industry’s best event data, the company has now adapted to industry trends. Thrillcall has become a leader in live music discovery and has turned their focus to mobile ticket purchasing. “Most good technology solutions take a consumer problem or nuisance and solve it simply,” Tomaszewicz recently told TicketNews® via email. “Thrillcall is no different. We recognized more and more consumers looking to discover concerts and buy tickets through their mobile phone. We answered that. We noticed more consumers waiting longer and longer to buy tickets–a trend across retail categories–our app solved that problem as well.”
