Following Friday’s release of a new song, “Bagboy”, the Pixies announced that they will be heading out on the road this fall for a world tour and will be accompanied by a new bassist. The first leg of the world tour will kick off in Paris on September 29th, and make its way to venues across the globe including Amsterdam (October 5th), Madrid (November 7th), Dublin (November 18-19), and more. For the upcoming tour, the band has confirmed that the former bassist of The Pandoras, Kim Shattuck will be replacing founder and long time bassist, Kim Deal due to her recent departure from the band. The Pixies have also stated that during this tour, they will be playing songs that fans haven’t heard in numerous years as well as songs that have never before been performed live. Additional dates for this upcoming tour will be announced in the near future.
