California Ticketing: The Next Generation

Insomniac browser for ticketing professionals

Selden, NY – August 27, 2013 – FutureTix 4th Annual Ticketing Symposium is now open for registration. This year, the symposium will take place at the Torrance Marriott South Bay in California starting on Sunday, November 17, 2013. All Californian industry colleagues are welcome to attend. The Symposium will be kicked off on Sunday evening with an optional networking cocktail hour and will conclude Monday after a full day of educational and networking events including informative panels, Q&A sessions, speed dating round tables, coffee breaks, lunch and a late afternoon networking cocktail hour.

“The FutureTix Ticketing Symposium offers the perfect way for ticketing professionals to spend more time with their colleagues while being exposed to the next generation of technologies and practices…” says Veronica Lawlor, Vice President of Ticket Sales and Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers. “The one-day agenda is easy and informative. I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.”

FutureTix hosted its first annual seminar, called the TILT Symposium, three years ago in Chicago gathering together thirteen ticketing professionals with the objective of analyzing trends and vision in the ticketing marketplace. Last year, for the first time ever, FutureTix changed the format, calling it the FutureTix Ticketing Symposium, and opened up registration to include colleagues from the surrounding area. Once again, FutureTix plans to enhance the event this year, allowing for more discussion and participation from the audience through Q&A sessions and round table discussions.

“This industry just keeps moving forward rapidly with ever-evolving technology and practices,” said Dan DeMato, President and Founder of FutureTix, Inc. “Some will leap forward while others will wait for the trail to be blazed, in either event, we all share a common interest in selling more tickets in an efficient and fan-friendly manner. This symposium will allow you to hear and share thoughts that will help you do just that.”

The symposium agenda consists of several sets of panels with speakers from both the vendor and venue side of ticketing, Q&A sessions and round table discussions with plenty of networking time available during breaks, lunch and two cocktail hours. Relevant topics such as the future of ticketing, social media, revenue generating innovations and how-to create a ticketing roadmap will be discussed.
