The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers of Aerosmith have announced an 18-date Las Vegas Residency at the Park Theater next year dubbed “Deuces Are Wild.”

This morning, Aerosmith appeared on NBC’s Today show, where the band made their announcement.

“We wanted to bring in there that we really can’t do on the road on a regular tour,” guitarist Joe Perry said. “So we want to bring a show that still has Aerosmith and all the guts of Aerosmith but has a whole other element to it.”

Aerosmith is set to head to Sin City next April, kicking things off on April 6 and running through June and July, wrapping up on July 9. The show will feature “never-seen-before visuals and audio from Aerosmith recording sessions” and will offer “one of the most immersive, state-of-the art audio and video technology experiences in Las Vegas.” Giles Martin, known for his efforts on “The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil,” will produce the show.

“We bring you into Aerosmith World,” drummer Joey Kramer told Today of the residency. “The history behind our almost 50 years of being together, and as soon as you walk into the Park Theater in Vegas, you’re gonna walk into Aerosmith World.”

Over the past few weeks, fans have been speculating about the band announcing some sort of tour, since it will be the band’s 50th year anniversary in 2019. In an interview with Perry last month, the guitarist told Ultimate Classic Rock that the group had kept a light schedule in 2018 to “try and take it easy.”

“In 2019, we will be closing in on our 50th anniversary, so we are planning some dates and a tour to celebrate that,” Perry said. “Right now we are pretty much laying low and finishing up some solo things before we start that.”

He also explained that while the band has plenty of songs they could play on tour that fans haven’t heard live before, he also loves recording, and could see new material coming out in the future. As for a farewell tour, Perry explained that it’s not so easy to pick which day is actually going to be the “final show.”

“I feel like, at this point, every show could be the last show,” he said. “You just don’t know…. I always have this attitude, it’s gotta be as good as it can be that day. That said, we don’t have a day planned where we say, ‘Okay, this is the last show.’ You can’t picture that. On the other hand, I know there will be a last show just like there’s a one last time for everything in life.”

Aerosmith is the best-selling American rock band of all time; throughout their journey, the group has sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Their latest LP, 2012’s Music From Another Dimension, followed 2004’s Honkin’ On Bobo. With 15 studio albums, 12 compilation albums, and a series of chart-topping hits, it’s likely that fans will absolutely hear the band’s greatest hits, as well as tracks overlooked through the years.
